Question by Rudy: Did you know this about men?
A man’s sprem is good for a woman.

In addition to its central role in reproduction, various scientific findings indicate that semen has certain beneficial effects on human health, both proven benefits and possible benefits:

Antidepressant: One study suggested that vaginal absorption of semen could act as an antidepressant in women; the study compared two groups of women, one of which used condoms and the other did not.[4]
Cancer prevention: Studies suggest that seminal plasma both prevents and fights cancer, particularly breast cancer,[5] reducing risk by “not less than 50 percent.”[6][7] This effect is attributed to its glycoprotein and selenium content, with apoptosis being induced by TGF-Beta. A related urban legend parodied these findings and claimed that performing fellatio at least three times a week reduced the risk of breast cancer.[8]

Semen has been proven to act as a strong antidepressant in women so that women physically exposed to semen are less likely to suffer from depression. It is thought that the psychological effects of semen are a result of its complex chemical make-up including several mood-altering hormones (testosterone, oestrogen, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, prolactin and several different prostaglandins). In a scientific survey of 293 college women it was also found that those who did not use condoms were most likely to initiate sex and to seek out new partners as soon as a relationship ended, suggesting that the chemical dependency to semen creates a “rebound effect”. The effect of semen on a male sexual partner (a receiver of semen) is not known.[14][15][16]

Preeclampsia prevention: It has been hypothesized that substances in semen condition a mother’s immune system to accept the “foreign” proteins found in sperm as well as the resulting fetus and placenta, keeping blood pressure low and thereby reducing the risk of preeclampsia. Regular exposure to the baby’s father’s semen, especially orally, may help make a woman’s pregnancy safer and more successful, because she is absorbing her partner’s antigens.[9]

Question by ♫Jayel is 3♫: What do you ladies think about this?
My sis is traing to be a nurse and she lent me one of her course works books to read i found this paragraph and thought it to be intresting:

THE HEALTH BEBFITS OF CUM VIA SPERMOPHAGIA (indegestion of sperm)

Cancer prevention: Studies suggest that seminal plasma both prevents and fights cancer, particularly breast cancer,[1] reducing risk by “not less than 50 percent.”[2][3] This effect is attributed to its glycoprotein and selenium content, with apoptosis being induced by TGF-Beta. A related urban legend parodied these findings and claimed that performing fellatio at least three times a week reduced the risk of breast cancer.[4]

Regular exposure to the baby’s father’s semen, especially orally, may help make a woman’s pregnancy safer and more successful, because she is absorbing her partner’s antigens.[5]

Medical knowledge about the beneficial health effects of ingesting semen has been slow to increase. As late as 1976, doctors were advising women in the eighth and ninth months of pregnancy not to swallow semen lest it induce premature labor,[6] even though it is now known to be not only safe, but beneficial.

Because of its hormone and mineral content, semen ingestion has several other areas of potential health benefits which have not yet been fully researched. These areas include its antidepressant properties (epinephrine, dopamine) and musculoskeletal support (testosterone

What do you think ladies??

I for 1 dont care about the benefits i am not swallowing!!

Question by : Bio help??????????????????
A microarray known as a GeneChip, with most now known human protein coding sequences, has recently been developed to aid in the study of human cancer by first comparing twothree subsets of cancer subtypes. What kind of information might be gleaned from this GeneChip to aid in cancer prevention?

A)information about which parent might have provided a patient with cancer-causing genes.

B)data that could alert patients to what kind of cancer they were likely to acquire.

C)information on cancer epidemiology in the U.S. or elsewhere.

D)evidence that might suggest how best to treat a person’s cancer with chemotherapy.

E)information about whether or not a patient has this type of cancer prior to treatment.

Question by : Is it better to get informed and raise awareness than to get into competitions over men’s and women’s health?
Here’s something guys need to know and need to discuss with their doctors. And ladies, inform your fathers, brothers, husbands, and sons too.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2010/08/11/129128217/doctors-are-slow-to-prescribe-pill-to-prevent-prostate-cancer

A generic drug called finasteride reduces the risk of prostate cancer by 25 percent, according to a 2003 study of 18,000 men.

But doctors apparently don’t believe it, misunderstand the findings, or just don’t know about it.

Almost two-thirds of urologists and 80 percent of primary care doctors in the Veterans Health Administration system, say they never prescribe finasteride to prevent prostate cancer. The survey, involving 1,525 doctors, appears in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention.

When researchers asked them why, half said they didn’t know the drug could prevent prostate cancer. And more than half said they were worried that men taking finasteride had a higher risk of developing more aggressive tumors.

That second concern arises from the first results of that 2003 study, called the Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial. It seemed to show that finasteride, which blocks the cancer-stimulating effects of testosterone, lowered the overall rate of prostate cancer by 25 percent but increased the risk of more dangerous tumors by 27 percent.

But in 2008, the researchers refuted from that finding, after looking more closely at the data along with biopsies of the tumors that occurred during the study. The new analysis showed finasteride didn’t really raise the risk of high-grade tumors, it just makes tests for tumor grade more sensitive.
It doesn’t matter if anyone else cares. If doctors aren’t informed, WE have to be informed and we have to inform OTHER men so THEY can bring these findings to their doctor’s attention.
This is important information. I’m not sure why no one is starring it. Guys, if a men’s movement is about anything other than knocking feminists, it should be about letting each other know these things so we can take charge of our health!

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by : Need a LICENSED DERMATOLOGIST OR ONCOLOGIST to reply!!!?
I’m doing a project for school, could a LICENSED DERMATOLOGIST OR ONCOLOGIST please answer these for me?
What are some of the main causes of skin cancer? Which age group is most in need of skin cancer protection; why? What other health problems can result from skin cancer? HOw have skin cancer prevention methods changed over the years? What are some typical treatments for skin cancer? What is the best prevention method for skin cancer; why? Why should the public be informed about skin cancer? What are some of the typical skin cancer cases you see like? Why do you think skin cancer occurences have shot up over the years What are some of the methods to increase public awarness of skin cancer? again, a LICENSED DERMATOLOGIST OR ONCOLOGIST needs to answer these. THANKS

You aren’t likely to find one here.

I suggest you look one up in the yellow pages and call to schedule a talk with them. Explain it is a school project and I am sure you can get 15 minutes or more.
